This week @808CoasterRidah will be attempting the Missouri theme park trifecta by traveling to all three major amusement parks in the state. This three parks in three days adventure will feature new credits and new experiences for me. I also hope to do some investigating into these parks future attractions. What is great about this trip, is that I didn't really put much planning into it. The pieces of the trip just happened to fall into my lap and all I had to do was put the puzzle together. One thing led to another and by the grace of God I now have this exciting trip set into place.
First up, I will be heading to Worlds of Fun for a few hours in the afternoon on Thursday, July 27th. I am lucky enough that my company is sending me to a huge conference out in Kansas City that week. There plenty of down time in the afternoon Thursday that I will be taking advantage. This will be my first time heading out to Worlds of Fun and unfortunately, none of my coworkers or KC friends will be able to join me which means I will be going to a theme park solo. Next, I will be returning home to St. Louis for a bit on Friday, July 28th. That evening I plan to make a trip up to Six Flags St. Louis to catch some evening laps on the wooden classic Screamin' Eagle. Finally we have the main event, Midnight Madness at Silver Dollar City on Saturday, July 29th. Not only am I hoping to marathon Outlaw Run at night but I will trying to catch some glimpses of the 2018 coaster construction behind Thunderation.
All of these plans are contingent on weather and life obviously. Either way, I recognize that I am blessed for this scenario is even possible. I'm stoked that my coaster-crazed sister will be tagging along for Midnight Madness and possibly Six Flags St. Louis. Rollercoasters bring such joy to my life from the intense thrills and special moments that I get to enjoy with my family and friends.
